A variation on the vanity Google search for your own name, do a Google Image Search on your own name. I recently became the top hit for my own full name on regular search, and I've been in the first 10 for years, but nothing about me comes up on image search until the 4th page and an actual picture of me doesn't come up until the 6th page.

Heh. I don't come up until page 7, though a picture I took for Wikipedia shows up on page 4.

interesting. firstname+maidenname I'm the first picture, but otherwise not there (at least not in the first 10 pages). firstname+maidenname+lastname has 6 pictures, all vaguely related to me, but not of me.
firstname+lastname has the same 6 plus a picture of my sister-in-law.

I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad that my picture doesn't show up. I recently added a head shot to my linkedin profile, so I assume that will be picked up at some point.

The first hit for my name in text search produces an article about TOKink that includes an image, so I was surprised that the image didn't come up in image search. Then I realized "Moderate Safe Search" was on. ;-) So with that off, it's image #2. Image #1 is my little alter ego who likes pumpkins. Everything else is various hits for either my first or my last name. Using quotes the first two hits are the same, and the rest are mostly friends on Facebook (but not my own Facebook image...).

The first two pages of my name are filled with artwork by the erotic artist of the same name. She has decent work. :)

First one. Horrible picture in a collection of horrible pictures, from the morphing assignment in Graphics 2.

I wasn't first on a regular google search the last time I checked, but twitter and linkedin seem to have bumped me up.

Since I'm the only one with my first-last name pair on the planet, it's not surprising that 1/2 of the first page include me... then about 1 per page for the next 5 and then nothing...

For a long while I have been sharing internet space with Emilie Phillips Smith, some published psycologist. It looks like random other people are creeping up in the text based search, but for images, it is still pretty much just the two of us.

And the first image and link for my name are still the article on how I was the 5th generation of my family to go to CMU, and I graduated at 18. I think I need to make my own website to drown that out...

Alas, I have a very tough competitor in the X-men character who shares my name. There is a rather awesome picture of me on the 2nd page though. And a very nice Facebook profile pic of someone else with the same name.
